Some age related wear, with a a lower side margin stain on last fifty pages; otherwise a very good crisp copy. Copy of the scarce abridgement of The History of the Rebellion, the famous work by Edward Hyde, Earl of Clarendon (1609-74). He served as chief advisor to Charles I during the First Civil War and as Lord Chancellor to Charles II, 1660-67. (ESTC N7482).
