Bound in original red morocco, gilt, with gilt borders and elaborate tooled decoration based on royal arms on both boards. Inner dentelles. All edges gilt. A very good copy. Illustrated by music. Decorated by printer's and publisher's colophon. The music to be sung at the Coronation of Edward VII in 1902, selected by Sir Edward Bridge (1844-1924), Organist at Westminster Abbey, 1882-1919 and Director of Music at the Coronation. The content is described in the preface by F. G. Edwards. Bridges, composer and author, also held senior teaching posts at the Royal College of Music and at the University of London, where he was Professor of Music from 1903. A very attractively produced and richly bound volume, printed and published by Novello and Company for HMSO in a limited edition of five hundred.
