The British Landscape 1920-1950
Thames and Hudson
4to, 11 x 9.5 inches, 111pp. In very good condition, though lacking dust wrapper. Profusely illustrated with coloured and monochrome plates, many full-page, with separate biographies and notes on the illustrations. In the early part of the twentieth century the British landscape and its depiction underwent a radical change. The paintings, engravings, lithographs and posters in this book represent some of the finest work by the finest artists to interpret the native scene, moulded and inspired by two world wars.
