The fifth and final volume of the autobiography of Leonard Woolf (1880-1969), writes of the war years and life in Sussex with Virginia and her suicide. He describes the fortunes of The Hogarth Press, which the two had founded in 1917, his career as editor of the Political Quarterly, and on occasion of the New Statesman and as Secretary of the Labour Party Advisory Committee. He relates episodes of his post-war travels in Greece, Israel and a return to Ceylon.
