Large 8vo. 7.25 x 10 inches. xxiii + [i] + 204 pp. Bound in original light blue cloth gilt, boards with blind stamped borders enclosing oval gilt block with inlaid colour of vase; spine with gilt block, in dust wrapper with some edge chips and stains on spine; otherwise a very good clean copy. Illustrated by 24 tipped colour plates with captioned tissue guards, including frontispiece, by 64 pages of black and white plates and by facsimile in text. Decorated by half title and title page vignettes. Pictorial endpapers. Very well illustrated limited edition for connoisseurs and collectors, to celebrate the first century of the Spode-Copeland Factory at Stoke-on-Trent, 1765-1865.
