An account of the 1928 safari in Kenya made by the US film making couple, Martin (1884-1937) and Osa Johnson (1894-1953). The pair travelled around the South Pacific area and Africa filming until Martin died in an air crash, their work being continued by Osa into the TV age. Their names still resonate today, in a museum in Chanute, Kansas, a brand of clothing and a chain of stores. Parts of the book previously published in magazines.
