Bound in full vellum decorated in elabarate gilt. All edges gilt concealing a fine fore-edge painting A fine copy. The binding is Florentine in origin with the label of G. Brogi, 1 Via Tornabugni Firenze on the front free enpaper

Notes

A fine fore-edge painting has been added to this finely bound edition. The painting depicts the cathedral of Florence with the dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi and a full face portrait of George Eliot. The painting is the work of Margaret Costa a fine artist and one of the last practitioners of this art.
