Extremities worn and some foxing, but otherwise a very good copy. Early signature at head of title. Illustrated by 35 engraved plates, including frontispiece, 10 hand coloured fashion plates, 12 natural history, by engraved title and by 9 folding plates of music. Lacks 3 plates, including 2 colour. Interesting early example of a women's magazine, a title published 1770-1832. The content includes practical advice, articles of topical and geographical interest, both home and abroad, book reviews, serial stories, poetry, home and foreign news, etc. Each monthly issues contains about fifty five pages. This volume contains fine colour plates of Paris Dress and the animal engravings of The Moral Zoologist series. An incomplete volume sold as found.
