8vo. 7.5 x 5 inches. 614pp. Bound in full red morocco gilt, all edges gilt, gilt dentelles, and marbled end papers, signed by Aspreys of Bond Street (Aspreys used Sangorski and Sutcliffe to bind the books and signed them simply 'Aspreys'). Spine has fine gilt decoration and 6 raised bands with a contrasting title label. A fine copy. A fine fore-edge painting has been added to this finely bound edition. The painting is signed with the initials MC which identifies it as the work of Margaret Costa a fine artist and one of the last practitioners of this art.
