Well-detailed plans with scale of all the Batteries, Forts, Redoubts, Rifle Ranges and Martello Towers in the South Eastern District between Folkestone and Winchelsea, including Sandgate Castle and the now demolished Fort Moncrieff, Fort Southerland, Fort Twiss and The School of Musketry at Hythe. Each plan has a form allowing details of numbers of Officers, Men and Horses to be recorded, along with details of the occupying unit. There is space at the bottom for signatures of the Barrack Master and Serjeant.
We have never seen an original copy of this rare item and, in the interest of researchers into Kent's Military History, we have reproduced it in a form as close as possible to the original.
