FIRST EDITION. Folio. 9.75 x 12.25 inches. [vi] + 40 pp. Music score with words. In original half cloth spine over stiff card boards, with printed paper title label on front board, in pictorial dust wrapper, which has sunned spine and some edge chips with a little loss at tail of spine; otherwise a very good clean copy. Decorated by vignettes, including title page, head, tail and endpiece. First Edition of ten songs with words and music, setting verses from When We Were Young (1924) and Now We Are Six (1927), by A. A. Milne (1882-1956). The music is by Harold Fraser-Simpson (1879-1976), composer of light music and perhaps best known for his settings of children's verse. The vignette drawings are by the famous children's book illustrator, E. H. Shepard (1879-1976).
