FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 6 x 8.75 inches. 266 + [1] pp. Bound in buff cloth, gilt, in price clipped pictorial dust wrapper, which has edge wear, including loss at head and tail of spine. A little wear to extremities and darkening of spine. fly leaves browned and some foxing of edges; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 24 pages of black and white plates and by folding map. A seabird guide to the island of Lundy, concentrating on four main species, puffins, kittiwakes, razorbills and guillemots. A noteworthy feature is the map and accompanying table showing the locations of 164 seabird colonies along the coast of Lundy. By ornithologist Richard Perry (b.1909), who published over twenty titles on natural history, 1938-81.
