4to. 7.5 x 10 inches. 104 pp. Bound in original black cloth with coloured titles. A little wear to extremities, but otherwise a clean ex-library copy with labels. Illustrated by 40 pages of plates in colour and black and white and by 16 text figures. Decorated by title page vignette. A practical guide to printmaking from linoleum blocks and to wood engraving, illustrated with many examples. Michael Rothenstein (1908-93) contributed to the Recording Britain project during the War and later taught at Camberwell School of Art and was Art Fellow at the University of Sheffield.
