Notes

A classic study written in the form of thirty three lectures, which appeared in four editions by 1879. The first edition was published in two volumes, 1856-58. Charles West was physician specialising in obstetrics and paediatrics. He founded The Hospital for Sick Children in London in 1851 and was its first physician.
