Some spotting of boards and flyleaves, but otherwise a very good copy. 1965 gift inscription on first free endpaper. Illustrated throughout in black and white and colour, including tipped in and folding plates and facsimiles, all paginated in text and by text drawings, graphs and maps. Catalogue of graphic works at end. Lavishly illustrated account of the career of the French artist, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901), translated from the 1964 French edition of Philippe Huisman. Translated and edited by Corinne Bellow (1927-99), of the National Gallery, and later Tate Gallery.
