Illustrated by 36 black and white pages, including facsimiles, numbered in text. The economic and social history of the later Kentish seaside,derived from numerous sources, both printed and manuscript, in the Kent archives collections, compiled by Felicity Stafford (b.1945), teacher in Ramsgate and Nigel Yates (b.1944), County Archivist of Kent. The two major sections are Seaside Resorts in the Railway Era, by Stafford and The Modern Seaside Resort, by Yates. It was published to coincide with a major circulating exhibition in the county.
