8vo. 7.5 x 5.25 inches. 491 pp. Bound in original maroon cloth, gilt. Top edges red. A little wear to extremities, spine dulled and fly leaves browned. Creasing of top right edge of pages, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated throughout by frontispiece and black and white text figures, many whole page. Standard 1920's US work on house interior wall painting and decoration. By Fred Norman Vanderwalker (1865-1945), author of numerous works on wood finishing and interior decoration. First published in 1924, with nine editions appearing by 1941.
