Slight wear to extremities and edge foxing and one plate creased at lower edge; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 12 pages of black and white plates and by 7 maps in text. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. Detailed account of the Battle of Passchendaele, 1917, many times reprinted later. Leon Wolff (1914-91) was a US historian who had served in the Second World War. The introduction is by Major-General J. F. C. Fuller (1878-1966).
