Notes
A well illustrated narrative of the evacuation of political refugees from Southern Russia in 1920 as the white forces were defeated by the reds in the Russian Civil War; and in particular the role played by the steamship, Rio Negro, under the command of Captain Evan Percival Cameron, in concert with Royal Navy warships. It covers the evacuations of the Crimea, including the ports of Yalta and Sebastopol, ordered by General Denikin and also those of Odessa and of Batoum in the Caucasus.
