A survey of events in Kent during the Second World War by Kent journalist and editor of Bygone Kent, Andrew Rootes. It emphasises the numerous incidents caused by German bombing (including the 1942 Baedecker raid on Canterbury), V1s and V2s and cross Channel shelling, with a chronological list of casualty figures in each area. A reprint of the first paperback edition of 1988 of a title first published in 1980.
