Finnegan’s Wake.

JOYCE, JAMES.

Bound in the original dark red cloth. Spine slightly darkened, gilt, preserved in the remains of the original unclipped dust-jacket - most of the spine is missing and only the front and back panel remain relatively unscathed. Old ownership inscription on front free-end paper. Added portrait of Joyce after Augustus John pasted to first free end paper. Preliminaries and last leaf browned, but a very good copy.

Notes

A reasonable copy of the first edition of Joyce's classically unread novel in the remains of the original dust-jacket. Despite the obvious faults with the wrapper, this represents an affordable copy of a rare book. 3400 copies were printed, 950 of which were destroyed.
