Some wear to extremities, staining of lower edge and browning of flyleaves, etc.; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 76 engraved plates, interleaved with blank pages and by 79 text figures in the letterpress. Descriptive text followed by seventy six detailed measured drawings of medieval foliage decoration and ornament. James Kellaway Colling (1816-1905) was an architect, watercolour artist, book illustrator and pioneer of chromolithograph printing.
