Edmund Blunden (1896-1974) is best known as a war poet and especially for his later prose account, Undertones of War, based on his experiences at the Western Front. He later pursued a literary career, was elected Professor of Poetry at Oxford in 1966, and also wrote on cricket. A biography by Barry Webb of the University of Oxford.
