Transcription in Latin of the archiepiscopal register of Simon of Langham (1310-76) who was Archbishop of Canterbury, 1366-68. He had held office, while Bishop of Ely, as Treasurer and then Chancellor of England. He lost the favour of Edward III after the Pope made him a cardinal and resigned his office as Archbishop in 1368. The Archbishop's Register of official documents relating to the administration of the diocese and province of Canterbury was edited by Alfred Cecil Wood, who was Professor of Modern History at the University of Nottingham, 1951-60. A third part of the transcription, with the introduction, was published in 1956.
