4to. 8.25 x 10.5 inches. 131 + [1] pp., includes advertisements, pp. 1-8 at beginning and pp. 95-132 at end, continuing on both inside wrappers and on rear outside wrapper. In pictorial paper wrapper. Extremities worn, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated throughout in colour and black and white. Decorated by Festival device on title page. The illustrated review of British goods, including those in the Design Review section of the South Bank Exhibition and many of them are actually exhibited in this or other official Festival Exhibitions. An evocative survey of British industrial and product design in 1951. The introduction is by Gordon Russell (1892-1980), designer and craftsman, who was Director of the Council of Industrial Design, later the Design Council.
