Large 8vo. 7 x 9.25 inches. viii + 568 pp. Bound in original green cloth, gilt, with black titles, borders and blocks, latter on both boards. A little wear to extremities, including head and tail of spine and fly leaves browned; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 12 plates in black and white and colour, including frontispiece and by 835 text figures. A detailed practical guide to household painting and decorating, by Paul Nooncree Hasluck (1854-1931), Australian born writer and editor, who specialised in a wide variety of technical subjects, publishing over forty such titles as this. Originally published in weekly parts and then in earlier editions of 160 pages, the work first appeared in this greatly expanded format, in 1908.
