Slight sunning of head of spine, but otherwise very good copy. Illustrated by 16 pages of black and white plates and by 3 maps in text. History and survey of the Spanish Atlantic island of Fuerteventura, the second largest of the Canary Islands. Includes bibliography. John Mercer (1934-82), born in Las Palmas, was an archaeologist, who worked on the Scottish island of Jura.
