Michael Cooper (1941 - 1973), was the renowned photographer who worked with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones on their iconic album artworks for 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club' and 'Their Satanic Majesties Request' respectively. Through the over 600 images in this lavishly produced volume, the excesses and hedonism, as well as the creative dynamism of the 1960s can be seen. Compellingly narrated by 93 well-known contributors.
A passion project of Bill Wyman to collate Cooper's work alongside the words of those featured, each limited edition copy is signed by him and a variety of the contributors and each has a unique image under the sliding shutter of the box, so that no two copies are identical.
The Introduction is written by Terry Southern, and Forewords by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
The presentation of the volume is designed to imitate the Kodak developing paper boxes, which would have been the stock used by Cooper.
