Bacon’s New Ordnance Plan Of Cheltenham From Actual Survey.
G. W. Bacon and Co. Ltd., 127 Strand.
[n.d. but c.1847]
Folding coloured paper map 27 x 20 inches. Map folded into green cloth covers, with decorative blind stamped borders and paper title label. A little wear to extremities, but otherwise a very good copy. Stationer's label of John J. Banks, Imperial Library, Cheltenham on front pastedown. As this plan of Cheltenham, ultimately based on the Ordnance Survey, shows both the short lived Bristol and Birmingham Railway (1845-46) and the Great Western branch (opened 1847), it is likely to have been published soon after the latter date. The map indicates the constituency and ward boundaries.
