Third edition in the first year of publication. The story of Operation Market Garden, the parachute landing at Arnhem, September 1944, by Major-General Robert Elliott (1901-88), commander of the 1st Airborne Division. His account of the battle is well illustrated by maps and includes five appendices of orders and dispositions. The co-author, Wilfred Greatorex (1921-2002) became well known as a film and TV writer and producer.
