[vi] + 153 + [1] pp. Bound in grey cloth, gilt, with contrasting blue title label, gilt, in dust wrapper, which has edge wear, with chips at head and tail of spine. Top edge blue. Some spotting, but otherwise a very good copy. Huxley's novel, based on an imaginary film script, portrays California as it might be after atomic and bacteriological warfare, two centuries ahead. Man has succumbed to moral disaster and has rushed upon his own ruin caused by the two ideas of Progress and Nationalism.
