A little wear and sunning to extremities, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 29 plates, including frontispiece. Account of the wartime career of John Hislop (1911-94), best known as an amateur jockey and racecourse breeder. He joined the army in 1939, took part in the Dunkirk evacuation, and later, participated in clandestine SAS activities in the Vosges mountain.
