Facsimile reprint of the first edition of 1777, of a title by William Hutchinson, Mariner and Dock master at Liverpool (who also wrote A Treatise on Naval Architecture). The fourth edition of Seamanship was published in 1794. This new version is edited by Lieutenant Commander Morin Scott, R. N. who was involved in sail training and the command at sea of a schooner.
