A little wear to extremities, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by engraved portrait frontispiece and by folding plan. The selected correspondence of Vice Admiral Cuthbert Collingwood (1748-1810), covering the period from 1785. He was second in command to Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar and then became Commander-in-Chief of the Mediterranean Fleet. Edited by his son-in-law, George Lewes Newnham-Collingwood (1783-1838), of Hawkhurst, Kent.
